Thelma the Grayling - Water

Thelma the Greyling is another amazing garden sculpture from D'Sculpted. Sleek and silver, painstakingly hand crafted from marine grade stainless steel, Thelma can cope with all extremes of weather.

Crafted from 100% marine grade stainless steel, all parts cut from a gas griddle, removed from a Royal Navy Minesweeper during a refit. Thelma is very special, her scales were individually placed using a Tig welding torch, a labour of love but well worth the time. It seems fitting to make aquatic animals from metal that has spent time at sea.

The composition of the organic fillings is unique to each piece, using a combination of: Teasel, pine cone, beech mast, lichen, moss and bamboo all in varying shapes, sizes and textures. This is what makes a D’Sculpted piece so very unique.
