Erin the hedgehog - Land

Definitely a prickly customer and so cute, each one of Erins spines is made with reclaimed stainless steel bike spokes (previously nails). In order to create the form for the body, made in two halves, eight curved sections have to be cut, formed and seam welded together to create two hemispheres. These are joined, details cut out/added to create features, legs and feet etc.

Finally, the spines are painstakingly cut and individually welded into position. Available curled in a ball or standing on all four feet she will be equally at home indoors and out.
